Overview

  • One booking gives you 3 days of access to all 8 audio guides: Sydney, the Sydney Light Rail, the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley wine country, Melbourne, Melbourne's City Circle Tram 35, the Great Ocean Road and the Sydney Marathon course.

Install the free Self Guide App (Android and iPhone), open the link we email you and press Start. The guide then talks by itself: you reach a place and its storey begins, and it tells you where to look, on your right or on your left. Between places a podcast about Australia keeps you company.

The app keeps talking with the screen off and over Google Maps. On Android it puts the guide on your car screen through Android Auto, and the sound goes to the car speakers over Bluetooth.

No fixed route: walk, drive, cycle or ride the tram. English throughout, and Russian for six of the guides. Written by a Sydney guide since 2006. Mobile data and GPS are required.
