Detailed Itinerary:
【Iya Valley Vine Bridge】
The Iya Valley Vine Bridge is a marvel woven from nature and human ingenuity. Its thousand-year-old vines whisper tales of legend, while the gently swaying walkway challenges the brave. Here, each step treads upon history, and every glance takes in pristine nature. It is an essential, breathtaking sight for any explorer of Shikoku.
【Oboke & Koboke Gorges】
Renowned for its dramatic, awe-inspiring beauty and rich cultural heritage, the Oboke and Koboke Gorges offer diverse outdoor activities, making them an unmissable destination in Shikoku. Whether you are an adventure seeker craving excitement or a nature lover yearning for serene landscapes, you will find your own unforgettable experience here.
【Naruto Whirlpools】
The Naruto Whirlpools are located in the Naruto Strait between Tokushima Prefecture’s Naruto City and Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture. This site is globally famous for its immense tidal whirlpools. They are formed by powerful tidal currents: the strait is narrow (approximately 1.3 km at its narrowest) with a complex seabed, and the significant tidal difference (up to 1.5 metres) between the Seto Inland Sea and the Pacific Ocean forces water through at great speed, creating massive whirlpools that can reach up to 20 metres in diameter.
