Day 1: Arrival & Exploring the Blue City Heritage
Your journey begins upon arrival in Jodhpur, famously known as the “Blue City.” Meet your driver/guide and proceed to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Start your sightseeing with the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. Explore its grand palaces, intricate carvings, royal courtyards, and museum showcasing artefacts of the Rathore dynasty. Enjoy panoramic views of the blue-painted houses below.
Next, visit the serene Jaswant Thada, a beautiful marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a small lake.
Continue to the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace, a stunning blend of heritage and luxury. Explore the museum section that displays royal artefacts, vintage clocks, and classic cars.
In the evening, stroll through the vibrant lanes of Clock Tower and Sardar Market. Experience local life, shop for handicrafts, spices, textiles, and enjoy authentic Rajasthani street food.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 2: Cultural Immersion & Departure
After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the tranquil Mandore Gardens, known for its historic cenotaphs, temples, and lush greenery that reflect the region’s royal past.
Then head to Toorji Ka Jhalra, an ancient stepwell showcasing impressive architecture and a glimpse into traditional water management systems.
Enjoy a walking tour through the old blue lanes of Jodhpur, where you can interact with locals, witness traditional crafts, and capture stunning photographs of the iconic blue houses.
(Optional) Visit local artisan workshops or enjoy a traditional Rajasthani lunch at a heritage restaurant.
Later, you will be transferred to the airport/railway station in Jodhpur for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable 2-day heritage experience.
