What you can expect

Leave the busy streets of Tashkent behind and spend a day exploring the mountain landscapes of the Western Tian Shan.

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Tashkent between 7:40 AM and 8:00 AM. From there, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1.5–2 hours towards Amirsoy Mountain Resort.

During the winter and spring seasons, there will be a short stop along the way to enjoy traditional Green Somsa and freshly prepared mountain tea. This seasonal refreshment is not available during the summer and autumn months.

Upon arrival at Amirsoy Mountain Resort, take the modern cable car to an altitude of approximately 2,090 metres above sea level. The one-way ride takes around 30–35 minutes, gradually revealing panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

At the upper station, enjoy free time to walk around and explore the area. Several easy walking paths allow visitors to appreciate the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery from different viewpoints. You will spend approximately 2 to 2.5 hours at Amirsoy Resort.

After returning by cable car, there will be time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the resort (optional and at your own expense unless included in your selected option).

The journey continues through the Chimgan Mountains. A short stop in Chimgan is optional. Visitors who wish may take the historic Soviet-era chairlift, which climbs to around 1,000 metres above sea level and offers another perspective of the surrounding landscape. The chairlift ticket is optional and not included.

From Chimgan, continue with a scenic drive of approximately 20–25 minutes to Charvak Lake. Along the way, pass through Chimgan village, where local communities with Kazakh and Kyrgyz heritage have lived for generations.

At Charvak Lake, the experience depends on the season. During the summer months, visitors may choose from a variety of optional water activities available at the lakeshore. In the cooler seasons, enjoy panoramic viewpoints overlooking the turquoise waters surrounded by mountains and take time for photographs.

After visiting Charvak Lake, relax during the return drive to Tashkent, which takes approximately 1.5 hours, concluding a full day of mountain scenery, fresh air, and nature.
