Pass by hectares of kiwifruit orchards, small kiwi towns and beautiful lakes and waterfalls, as we drive you in our comfortable van to the nearby town of Rotorua. See and learn about the real New Zealand, as we explore the hinterland in a small group.

Enjoy local treats and hear stories of “Kiwi” culture and history as our experienced guide shows you through what we believe is the very best of New Zealand' s geothermal parks- The amazing Wai-o-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Take time to explore this dramatic and beautiful park, and witness the famous Lady Knox Geyser, shooting more than 10M in the air. We take you to see the most spectacular of the bubbling mud pools in a hidden area on our way back to Rotorua.

Next you choose:

1. Enjoy a relaxed walk on your own through the famous Redwoods Forest.
2. Upgrade to experience the exciting Redwoods Treetop Walk (Highly recommended!) Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn about this unique ecosystem. Breathe in the cool and clean air, and look out for native birdlife as you explore the many walkways and bridges. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region.
3. For those who just want to relax, take time out in a private forest spa, complete with drinks on tap! What a way to wind up your day in nature.

We make our way back to Tauranga in plenty of time for the ship, passing by farms and lakes as we travel.

Please note: While this is one of our longest tours, we ensure you have plenty of opportunities to rest throughout the day. We want you to see and experience as much as possible while still enjoying a relaxed pace.
