Next, head to Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, a sublime ode in stone to the extraordinary architectural legacy of the African diaspora in India. Although their forefathers were originally brought to India as slaves and maritime labourers, the descendants of these Africans rose to positions of power as military commanders in the armies of the sultans and became great patrons of art and architecture.and marvel at its arc-shaped architecture. Finally, visit Adalaj Step Well, a five-storey step-well on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Perhaps the finest stepwell in Gujarat, Adalaj was built in 1555. What makes this stepwell the most beautiful amongst other is its series of platforms and galleries built on the side of the stepwell.
