The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel in Angra do Heroísmo and going to the centre of the island to an area within the Natural Park of Terceira Island.

It’s a difficult walking trail with a length of 5 km, that has as one of the highlights Lagoa do Negro, located exactly in front of Gruta do Natal’s support house.

You’ll also pass through some magical places filled with endemic trees and small lakes that are known as the Lagoinha do Vale Fundo.

As you continue along the trail, you will pass through some volcanic formations and you’ll get to know why this area is called Mistérios Negros.

Since it’s a circular trail, the tour ends in the same starting point where you’ll be brought back to your hotel.
