Most Thai cooking classes in Bangkok run in English only — for German-speaking travellers, that means missing half the storey behind every dish. This one is different: your host teaches in fluent German, so you can ask questions and enjoy the experience without translating in your head.
We start at a local market — not a tourist version, but the real thing, where Bangkok residents shop every day. You'll choose and prep your own ingredients with your host from the very first step.
Thai cooking has a reputation for being complicated — pounding pastes, balancing five flavours at once. We break it all down into simple, repeatable steps. You'll make your own curry paste and coconut milk from scratch, then learn how to store it so real Thai cooking becomes a weeknight thing, not just a holiday memory.
You'll also learn how Thai cooks taste and adjust as they go — sweet, sour, salty, spicy — so you're not just following a recipe, you're shaping each dish until it's right for you.
With groups capped at 6 people, this feels like cooking in someone's home kitchen, not a classroom. Once cooking is done, you'll sit down together to enjoy the meal, and finish with a cup of herbal tea blended just for you. You'll leave with a Certificate of Achievement — and a skill you'll actually use again.
It doesn't end when you fly home — follow us on our website, and if a dish doesn't turn out right or you forget a step, reach out anytime.
