By order of the King of Ribauds… the Medieval Tavern is open!
In the heart of Paris, a stone's throw from the old Bastille fortress and the Temple district — once the stronghold of the Templars — the doors of La Taverne Médiévale are open all year round, from Monday to Saturday, for a festive and immersive journey… under the watchful eye of the King of Ribauds himself.
Once appointed to oversee the underworld, gambling houses, and other clandestine pleasure spots, the King of Ribauds now invites you to his legendary tavern, amidst laughter, mysteries, and festivities.
On the agenda:
Authentic medieval recipes, simmered with respect for the traditions of yesteryear.
Period drinks: mead, hypocras, rustic beers, or other secret potions to enjoy cheerfully.
A musical atmosphere and festive ball with an introduction to period dances (carole, tresque, tarantella…).
Entertainment, stands, and medieval surprises carefully orchestrated by the King of the Ribauds and his troupe. Beware of pranks, unexpected encounters… and the provost's archers!
Costumes are graciously lent by the house for the evening, so you can blend into the general jubilation as a troubadour, lady-in-waiting, knight, or notorious rascal.
Whether you're a noble traveller, a runaway beggar, or just curious, no one leaves an evening at La Taverne Médiévale unscathed… because no one knows what the King of Ribauds and his acolytes have in store for you.
Admission: €13 in advance | €16 on site, costumes included (borrowed for the duration of the evening).
⚠️ Booking is strongly recommended (limited capacity).
