Lviv undergrounds are more than 700 years old and over 100 kilometres long.

The walls of the underground labyrinths remember the kings, monks, lovers, knights, ordinary citizens, hiding from wars, and rich Lviv people, burying their treasures underground.

Tombs, gold coins, antique furniture and weapons are still found there. They say that ghosts hang out in dark crypts.

Sts. Peter and Paul Church The longest and most intricate Lviv dungeons are located under the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of the Jesuit Order. Some of them were once used as a crypt (burial place). Opera House There are not only dungeons but also an underground river under the famous Lviv Opera House! The building stands on the former riverbed of the Poltva River (since the late 19th century).
