Know before you book

    • A QR Code* voucher for your tickets is issued up to 1 month in advance, and at least 1 day before the travel date
    • The product is a pre-booking. It may be cancelled by the due to reaching maximum capacity or system malfunctions at the facility. In case of cancellation, we will contact you separately from the email address experiences-travel-guest-jp@faq.rakuten.co.jp.
    • We will arrange a ticket for a train departing within 30 minutes before or after your selected departure time.
    • After your reservation is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent from experiences-travel-guest-jp@faq.rakuten.co.jp. This email will include the confirmed train information (departure and arrival times, seat information), so please make sure to check it.
    • Additionally, a QR code will be attached to the email. On the day of travel, please bring this QR code to the designated station to exchange it for your train ticket.

    • Adult: ages 12+ (12-year-olds still in primary school count as “Child”)
    • Child: ages 6–11 (6-year-olds who have not entered primary school count as “Infant”)
    • Infant: ages 1–5 years
    • Baby: less than 1 year old

    Fares for children, infants, and babies:

    • The Child basic fare, limited express, express, and reserved or non-reserved seat tickets are half the adult price (5 yen is rounded down)
    • Infants and Babies require no fare except:
      1: When the number of Infants accompanying 1 adult or child is 3 or more (fares and charges are required for the third and any additional Infants)
      2: When an Infant or Baby uses a reserved seat
      3: When an Infant travels alone
