What you can expect

Embark on a journey through the architecture and legal history of the former Reich Court building. In 1879, the Reich Court was established as the highest court of the German Empire, and this stately building was constructed for it. Both its exterior and interior reflect the tradition of the judiciary. Karl Liebknecht defended himself here against charges of high treason, and in 1933, the Reichstag Fire Trial took place here. Since 2002, the building has housed the Federal Administrative Court (BVerwG). On our tour, the tasks and work of the BVerwG will be clearly presented. The Federal Administrative Court is the highest administrative court in the Federal Republic of Germany. It rules on disputes in the field of administrative law.
