We will be waiting for you at our Chivay Office, located next to the Church in the main Plaza of Chivay, from 12:30 to 1:10 pm.
We will be leaving Chivay approximately. 1:15 pm.
On the way from Chivay to Puno we will make the following stops:
“Mirador de los Andes”: We will stop to observe the “Volcanoes” Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca, Mismi (source where the Amazon River is born) and the Chila mountain range. You can also see the “Apachetas” (in ancient times, travellers left these small stone towers as an offering to their gods).
Tocrapampa: we will make a technical stop to observe the South American camelids such as: llamas and alpacas grazing in their natural habitat, with a little luck we will observe the vicuñas, privileged animals for possessing the finest and most expensive fibre in the textile industry. .
“Patahuasi” (Pampa Cañahuas): Located in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, which is located behind the Chachani volcano, we will find vicuñas, llamas and alpacas, with great luck in the distance we could observe foxes and guanacos.
