Discover one of the most impressive natural vantage points in Potrerillos on this guided trekking experience to Cerro Áspero, a peak that reaches almost 3,000 metres above sea level.
This adventure is designed for those who want an authentic mountain experience in the Andes of Mendoza, combining physical activity, nature, spectacular scenery, and local cuisine.
The hike begins in the Valle del Sol area, following trails that gradually ascend towards the summit. During the trek, the tour guide will share information about the geography of the region, the history of Potrerillos, the flora and fauna of the mountain, and the importance of the Andes Range in local life.
As we gain altitude, the views become wider and wider, allowing us to see the Potrerillos dam, the Cordón del Plata, and the surrounding valleys. The route is of moderate difficulty and is designed for people in basic physical condition who enjoy outdoor activities.
At the summit, we'll have time to rest, take photos, and enjoy a hiking snack while taking in one of the best panoramic views in the area.
We will then begin the descent to the starting point, where the experience culminates with a food tasting of traditional empanadas at the renowned Restaurante Áspero, an iconic place in Potrerillos that preserves the region's mountain spirit.
We also include digital photos from the activity so you can take a souvenir of the day with you. Complimentary drone shots may also be taken when weather and operating conditions permit.
