What you can expect

Visit Troia, a historic town famous for its splendid cathedrals. Learn about its history as the ancient town of Aece, a Roman city on the Appian-Trajan Way. View the magnificent surrounding Dauni mountains while you travel in to the heart of the town.

See the church of St. Vincent the Martyr, the Basilica of St. Basil, and the palaces Principi D'Avalos, the Palazzo Varo and the Palazzo Siliceo.

Discover the Cathedral of Troia, famous for its splendid rose window, which was once depicted on the Italian 5,000 lira bill in the 1980s. Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Assumption and built in the twelfth century in the Apulian Romanesque style, its rose window is composed of 11 stone columns and 22 different decorations created with a technique of fretwork that makes the rose appear as a laced embroidery.

Complete the tour with a tasting of a typical Passionata cake, a unique Puglian delicacy created with pastry, 3 types of local ricotta and Apulian almonds.
