The route begins in an authentic rural setting, where the traveller is welcomed into the space dedicated to the animals.
Here, you will meet the three donkeys that will accompany us throughout the trekking, setting the pace of the walk and carrying the food for the food tasting in their traditional saddlebags.
The trekking follows scenic trails that wind through the valleys and slopes of Mount Poro, offering spectacular views of Capo Vaticano, the sea, and the Liparian Islands.
During the walk, botanical curiosities, historical and naturalistic notes, and particular features of the area will be shared, providing a direct and authentic understanding of the places.
Halfway along the route, at a point of historical and environmental interest, there is a generous food tasting of morzeddu, a typical peasant dish, accompanied by local wine. A break that becomes a real dive into the local culinary tradition.
The activity is suitable for everyone, including children and families, and caters for groups of up to 15 participants guided by two experienced operators and the donkeys.
The experience takes place in the morning, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The total duration is approximately 3 hours, including a food tasting stop, and comfortable, sporty clothing is recommended.
