Experience sushi making in Tsukiji, a traditional sushi town!

This sushi-making class is special as it uses the most authentic tableware and, of course, the freshest ingredients from Tsukiji. Since the location is set directly in the centre of the market, you'll easily be able to enjoy exploring before or after.

This experience is led by a friendly English-speaking host who will be able to interpret and guide you the entire time, as well as our skilled, professional sushi master.
The classroom is a classic Japanese style, located in a hidden local building in the centre of the Tsukiji outer fish market.

First, you'll watch the pro sushi chef's fish disassembly show and learn the steps for preparing fish for sushi. The chef will explain Japanese knives.
Next, you'll learn exactly what sushi is and the proper steps for making nigiri and rolled sushi. The sushi master will teach you all you need to know, helping you step by step. Proper sushi-making utensils and tableware are provided by local shops, and ensure an immersive, efficient, and photo-worthy experience.

Then, the tasty part! Time to enjoy your sushi as well as one from the sushi master! While you eat your own sushi, the sushi master will prepare an additional piece with freshly grated wasabi. Here you'll really be able to admire the true skill and speed of a sushi master! Traditional dashi soup is also offered as a perfect pairing to the sushi.
