Your visit starts in the centre of Turin, where our local host is waiting for you at the meeting point. There is nothing to pay and nothing to print. The host checks your booking, hands you your ticket in person, and walks you to the museum entrance, so you never waste time wondering which door to use or which queue to join.
Before you go in, you receive your audio guide, available in 7 to 8 languages, so you can follow the collection comfortably in your own language rather than reading labels in Italian or English.
Inside, the Museo Egizio holds one of the richest collections of ancient Egyptian material anywhere in the world, second only to Cairo, with tens of thousands of objects gathered over two centuries. You move through the galleries at your own pace, floor by floor.
Highlights along the way include the burial chamber of the architect Kha and his wife Merit, found almost untouched, with furniture, clothing and food still in place after more than three thousand years. In the Gallery of Kings, monumental statues of pharaohs and deities stand in a dark, dramatically lit hall. You will also see painted coffins, delicate Book of the Dead papyri, everyday objects from workers' villages, and the rock-cut Temple of Ellesiya, brought to Turin from Nubia.
When you are finished, you simply leave whenever you like. Your ticket and audio guide are yours for the whole visit, and there is no group to keep up with and no fixed ending time.
