What you can expect

Live a day like the locals in the Turku Archipelago in your private 2-6 person group. The local family will be your host.

Start your day by rowing a small yellow rowing boat to catch some fish with a net. Try to catch perch, whitefish, pike perch, or pike. Then, prepare a campfire together with your host. On the open fire by the sea, fry the fish with root vegetables. Cook some new potatoes of the season, seasoned with dill, a Finnish delicacy.

After lunch, chop firewood and heat the sauna. Learn how to make your own “vihta,” a bath whisk, to take to the sauna with you. Enjoy the heat of a real Finnish sauna and the private sandy beach. Take a swim in the cool water or just sit and relax on the porch to listen to the seagulls.

The whole experience is private for your group only.
