This one-day high-speed train trip covers ancient villages, Flaming Mountain and urban desert, ideal for visitors who want to experience diverse scenery of Turpan in one day. You can depart from and return to Urumqi on the same day without overnight stay. After arriving at Turpan North Station, private vehicle transfer is provided. You may choose to visit Flaming Mountain Scenic Area or Golden Flaming Mountain Ten Thousand Buddha Palace. The red mountain range is spectacular, with a giant thermometer.
Lunch is at your own expense. Then you will visit Tuyugou Mazar Village, a thousand-year-old Uyghur village well-preserved with loess dwellings, known as China’s No.1 Earthen Village. You will also pass the steep Tuyugou Grand Canyon. In the evening, head to Kumtag Desert, the rare desert adjacent to the city to watch desert sunset
