Experience the art of flamenco in one of Valencia's most iconic theatres.
Imagine stepping into the Teatre Talia, a theatre with over a century of history, where its classic architecture and intimate atmosphere whisk you away to another time. But now, every Thursday at 5:30 p.m., the stage transforms into something completely new: an authentic flamenco tablao.
The Teatre Talia, with its warm atmosphere and theatrical history, is now home to the art of flamenco. From their seats, the audience will witness a fusion of tradition and passion. The echo of the dancers' steps will rumble through the walls, while the cante jondo will fill the air, accompanied by the vibrant strings of the flamenco guitar and the enveloping rhythm of the percussion. What's more, the Teatre Talia adds a special touch to the show: the contrast between the refinement of the theatre and the art of flamenco creates a unique sensory experience in the heart of Valencia, in the centre of the Barrio del Carmen.
The show features the four fundamental pillars of flamenco: dance, where the dancers' bodies express the depth of emotions; the singing, which with its heartbreaking and emotional voice tells stories of love, pain and joy; the touch, which with its guitar weaves melodies that resonate in the soul; and the percussion, which marks the energetic and vibrant rhythm, enveloping everything in a rhythmic spell.
