The best way to see Valencia? From the saddle. No tour buses, no rushing, no tired feet — just you, a bike, and a friend showing you the city the way locals actually experience it.
We start in the Old Town, weaving through narrow streets where Mediterranean life spills out of every café. You'll roll past the Central Market — one of Europe's biggest and most beautiful food halls — and the medieval Serranos and Quart Gates, the ancient towers that once guarded the city. Everywhere: history, art, and the scent of orange blossom in the air.
Then we escape the traffic into Turia Gardens, an 8-km park built right into a former riverbed that runs through the entire city. Gliding under its bridges and palm trees, past the glass-and-water Palau de la Música and the giant Gulliver playground, is pure joy — and easily everyone's favourite part of the ride.
The park leads us straight to the showstopper: the City of Arts and Sciences. Calatrava's white, futuristic curves rising out of mirror-like pools look like something from another planet — and you'll have time to stop, breathe it in, and grab the photos everyone asks about later.
It's all flat, easy, and relaxed — perfect for any fitness level. By the time we roll back into the centre, you won't just have seen Valencia. You'll have fallen for it.
