Take a self-guided 1.5km walk through Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, following the Van Gogh Trail to the Monastery of Saint-Paul de Mausole. This one-hour journey traces the landscapes that inspired Van Gogh during his stay in 1889–1890.
Start in the town centre with his self-portraits, then follow “Vincent” signs through cobbled streets and leafy plane trees.
Along the way, view 19–21 large-scale reproductions of his paintings, placed where he created them, with panels featuring titles and excerpts from his letters.
Nearby landmarks include the Fontaine Nostradamus and Musée Estrine.
