Day 1: Varanasi – Ghats, Heritage & Living Traditions

Arrive in Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Begin with a walk through the historic old town lanes, observing traditional silk weaving areas and age-old marketplaces. Visit iconic riverside ghats such as Assi, Manikarnika, and Dashashwamedh to understand the city’s social and cultural rhythm.
Later, explore Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus, known for its colonial-era planning and lush surroundings, followed by Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum, showcasing sculptures, manuscripts, paintings, and textiles.

In the evening, witness the ceremonial Ganga Aarti from a cultural perspective—an organised riverfront ritual symbolising Varanasi’s connection with the Ganges. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 2: Ayodhya Day Trip – Epic City & Riverfront Heritage

After breakfast, drive to Ayodhya, a city shaped by ancient epics and evolving dynasties. Explore the newly developed Ram Janmabhoomi complex for its grand architecture and urban planning rather than religious rituals.
Visit Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan to appreciate their historic construction styles and city viewpoints. Enjoy a relaxed walk along the Saryu River ghats, observing daily life, heritage corridors, and riverfront restoration projects.

By evening, return to Varanasi, reflecting on Ayodhya’s transformation from an ancient settlement to a modern heritage city. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 3: Sarnath – Buddhist Ruins & Archaeology

After breakfast, proceed to Sarnath, a globally important archaeological site where Buddhism took institutional form. Explore Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, focusing on Mauryan and Gupta-era influences.
Visit the Sarnath Archaeological Museum, home to the original Ashoka Lion Capital (India’s national emblem), along with ancient sculptures and inscriptions.
After sightseeing, transfer to Varanasi Airport or Railway Station for departure.
