What you can expect

Day 1: Arrival and Evening Immersion

Arrive in Varanasi, check in to your hotel, and take some time to rest. In the evening, join BHU students for a heritage walk. Explore Assi Ghats, hidden temples, Lolark Kund, and Tulsi Dham. Conclude with the evening Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat.

Day 2: Crafts and Weaving Traditions

In the morning, participate in a wooden toy-making session with local artisans in Khojwan. Learn carving, lac work, painting, and finishing techniques. Hear artisan stories, enjoy snacks, and take home your handmade toy.

In the afternoon, visit Banarasi saree weavers in Madanpura. Learn about weaving traditions, observe looms, interact with artisans, and optionally shop for sarees. Spend the evening exploring local markets or enjoying a street food walk.

Day 3: Wrestling and Sacred Walk

Start your day by observing pehlwans training in a historic akhada. Try basic wrestling techniques and interact with wrestlers.

In the late evening, embark on a Shakti and feminine energy walk. Visit Devi Mandir, Karvat Mandir, and Manikarnika Ghat. Learn about feminine power myths, rituals, and traditions. Conclude with Sandhya Aarti at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Day 4: Boat Making and River Life

In the morning, join local boat builders at the ghats. Learn traditional wooden boat construction techniques and stories of river craftsmanship.

Later, take a boat ride on the Ganga with a local boatman. See temples, ghats, and riverside life, sip tea, and hear stories of boatmen. Optionally, extend your ride to Rajghat for more panoramic views. Spend the afternoon shopping, visiting temples, or resting before your onward travel.
