The experience begins at one of the ancient gates to the city of Verona, the very one through which Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart passed on December 27, 1769, when he entered the city at just thirteen years of age during his first trip to Italy. From here begins a narrative walking tour, designed to slow down the pace and observe Verona with a careful and mindful eye.

It is February, the heart of winter, and the city is buzzing with the energy of Carnival. The streets come alive, the citizens prepare for the festivities, and trades mark the rhythm of everyday life. The narrative recreates the atmosphere of 18th-century Verona: a vibrant city, full of masks, sounds, craftsmanship and constant trade along the Adige River. Churches, streets and urban spaces become stops on a narrative journey that interweaves history, anecdotes and the urban context, giving meaning to the places and the way they were experienced.

The route follows the rhythm of urban life and invites you to notice details that are often invisible to a hurried glance. The figure of the young Mozart becomes a narrative key to exploring the city not as mere visitors, but as observers of his time, capable of listening to what remains in the stones, in the gestures and in the seasons.

Halfway through the experience, there will be a stop that links the city's history to local flavours. The encounter with a baker becomes a key moment on the route: bread and wheat tell the storey of the link between the river, the mills and artisanal work, offering an authentic glimpse of Verona past and present. The food tasting of baked goods accompanies the narrative as a sensory experience, in which food becomes a memory and a storey of the territory.

The walk continues through the historic centre and ends by leaving participants not only with historical information, but also with a deeper, more human perception of Verona: a city made up of music, seasons, work and real people.
This experience is designed for families, curious travellers, and lovers of history and music – for those seeking an authentic connection with the city and wishing to experience it at a leisurely pace, with mindfulness and respect, going beyond the traditional sightseeing and the busiest routes.
