  • Falkirk Distillery invites you to explore the heart of whisky craftsmanship. On this guided tour, witness the traditional 60 years old Caperdonich mash tun and stills. Delve into the new cooperage display showcasing the tools used to create whisky barrels. See the Bottling room, experience rich aromas of maturing whisky in the dunnage warehouse. Conclude your visit with tasting of five spirits including our 3 exquisite Lowland Single Malt whiskies, alongside a rare Caperdonich and an aged new make spirit, hand drawn from the barrel. With tours available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm, it’s a perfect outing for whisky enthusiasts who want a more in depth knowledge of the whisky making process with an experienced knowledgable guide and a fantastic warehouse tasting experience.

Your experienced tour guide will meet you at reception, where your experience begins with a short multimedia presentation. You’ll then enjoy a detailed guided tour through our Millhouse and Stillroom, as your guide explains each stage of the whisky-making process. Next, you’ll visit our Cooperage Display to discover the traditional tools that have been used over the centuries to craft the barrels in which our whisky is matured. The tour continues through the Bottling Room and into our traditional Dunnage Warehouse, where you can take in the rich, distinctive aromas. Your visit concludes with a warehouse tasting of 5 spirits, 3 of our finest Lowland Malt Whiskies and a rare Capperdonich Whisky and a spirit drawn direct from a warehouse barrel, in front of you. Your guide will explain each spirit to you and you can enjoy and compare drams and discuss your flavour experience with your guide. Afterwards, you are welcome to browse at your leisure in our charming gift shop.
