The tour begins with an internal visit to the National Museum of Independence, the historic site where Albania’s first Prime Minister declared independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1912. This important monument represents a cornerstone of Albanian history and remains deeply cherished by Albanians around the world.

After exploring the museum, we will head towards the old part of the city, stopping at the majestic Muradie Mosque, one of Vlora’s oldest and most renowned monuments. Following an external explanation of its history and architecture, you will have some free time to take photos.

From there, we will continue past the historic Etem Bey House and arrive at Independence Monument, the city’s central square and one of the most important public spaces in Albania. Every year, on November 28th, the Albanian President raises the national flag here to commemorate the country’s independence.

Just behind the monument, we will visit the ancient Aulona, where you will discover the deep historical roots of Vlora. Two significant landmarks, one iconic square.

Afterwards, we will stroll through the charming streets of the Old Town, passing the historic Clock Tower and the old Jewish Quarter, where you can experience the authentic atmosphere of Vlora’s historic centre.

The experience will then continue with a visit to the Zvernec Monastery, dedicated to Saint Mary, beautifully located on a small island surrounded by a pine forest.

Finally, the last stop will be at Kaninë, often referred to as “the balcony of Vlora,” where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the city and the bay.
