As you ascend the gentle Kechien-zaka, the “Slope of Spiritual Connection,” your guide will share stories of Enma Daiō, the King of the Afterlife, and the countless pilgrims who once journeyed here on foot, their prayers echoing through centuries.

Within the Main Hall, offer incense and light, an age-old gesture of gratitude and reflection before the serene figure of Kannon, the Bodhisattva of Mercy. The adjacent Daikōmyō-den hall shelters a stunning array of Buddhist images—delicate sculptures and gilded forms that reflect both profound artistry and unwavering devotion.
