Embark on an unforgettable walking adventure in the heart of the real Algarve, combining heritage, a lagoon, and a pristine beach. A guided walk taking you through a historic town, an island paradise, and fishing villages, punctuated by breathtaking landscapes, picturesque alleys, and wonderful cultural discoveries.
️ The day's programme:
Depart on foot from Tavira, one of the most charming towns in the Algarve, featuring a castle, a Roman bridge, traditional markets, and Republic Square, among other highlights.
Boat ride to Ilha de Tavira, a beautiful island of golden sand lapped by the ocean.
Walk along the beach to Barril, famous for its anchor graveyard and former tuna-fishing facilities.
A short train ride to Pedras d’el Rei, followed by a leisurely walk back to Santa Luzia, a peaceful octopus-fishing village known for its whitewashed houses and characteristic colours, and then through the salt pans on the way back to Tavira.
