During this 3-hour tour you will explore the Moranow district in Warsaw, which was the location of the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe during World War II. See the authentic ghetto walls and old houses where over 400,000 Jews from Warsaw were forced to live inside a closed area of four square kilometres. 100,000 Jews died in the ghetto from exhaustion, hunger, disease, and more than 300,000 were killed at the nearby Treblinka extermination camp.
Our Licensed Guide will tell you in depth about the persecution of Jews in German-occupied Poland - about the creation of the ghetto, the Nazi’s Final Solution plan, and the Holocaust. You will also learn about the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943. Walking through Moranow you'll see the Nozyk Synagogue, which is the only surviving prewar synagogue in the city.
