What you can expect

  • Spend an unforgettable day on the pristine waters off Ponta Delgada, watching majestic ocean life during a peaceful whale-watching cruise. Your experience is guided by a certified marine biologist who reveals fascinating insights into these incredible creatures’ behaviours.

Start your adventure at the Futurismo Activity Centre, where you’ll meet your friendly guide and receive a briefing before boarding a comfortable whale-watching vessel. Drift out into the crystalline waters and enjoy light refreshments as you admire Portugal’s stunning southern coastline in the distance.

Once you reach the whale-watching area, follow your guide’s directions to spot various species, including sperm, fin, and blue whales. Marvel as these giants breach the surface and slap their tails on the water.

Your journey may also include sightings of playful bottlenose and spotted dolphins swimming alongside the boat. For an added experience, choose the optional visit to the Islet of Vila Franca do Campo, formed by the crater of an ancient underwater volcano. Enjoy breathtaking views and a delicious lunch before returning to port.

Join us for an extraordinary adventure that combines nature, discovery, and the beauty of the Azores.
