What you can expect

Our host will help you find your group and enter the museum. The tour takes place 135 metres below the surface. Get ready to go down 800 steps to get to the mine.
Sightseeing takes up to 3 hours. Following your guide, you will explore the depths of underground chambers, churches, and altars made of salt.

After a more than 2.5-kilometer guided walk, you will return to the surface in the original lift used by the miners.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is 327 metres deep and extends over 287 kilometres (178 miles) through horizontal corridors and chambers.
The rock salt is naturally different shades of grey, reminiscent of rough granite rather than the white crystalline substance that would be expected.
