Our day begins with a special visit and tasting at Quinta do Curutelo, a vibrant new winery located just one hour from Porto. This exciting estate is bringing fresh energy to the time-honored tradition of Vinho Verde. Under the guidance of a passionate new winemaker, Quinta do Curutelo is producing bold, invigorating wines that offer a modern twist on a classic regional style. During our visit, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet the winemaker, explore the vineyards, and hear the inspiring storey behind the project — all while enjoying a carefully curated tasting of their vibrant, expressive wines.

Next, we’ll make our way to the enchanting town of Ponte de Lima — one of Portugal’s oldest and most picturesque towns. Known for its cobbled medieval streets, rich culinary traditions, and timeless atmosphere, this riverside gem invites you to slow down and savour its charm. At its heart lies the elegant stone bridge, gracefully spanning the Lima River — the oldest bridge still in use in the country.

To give you the freedom to explore at your own pace, lunch is not included. Instead, you'll have 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to discover the town and choose from the many inviting taverns and restaurants. Whether you're craving a hearty traditional dish, a light bite, or simply a glass of Vinho Verde by the river, the choice is entirely yours.

In the afternoon, our journey continues with a visit to the historic Convento de Val de Pereira, nestled among vineyards just outside the town. Here, you’ll be immersed in the aromas, flavours, and fascinating history of one of the oldest wine-producing locations in the region.

Dating back to the 15th century, the convent was originally founded by monks and has long been intertwined with the storey of Ponte de Lima. As we explore the grounds, you’ll learn about the traditional cultivation methods and discover how green wine has been made here for centuries.

To conclude the visit, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of wines from the estate — including authentic regional grape varieties such as Alvarinho, Loureiro, and Arinto. You’ll discover what makes these Vinho Verde wines so unique, with their fresh, fruity aromas and signature light effervescence.
