What you can expect

I’m a senior sommelier* and after more than 10 years of working in this world,
I realised that Portugal it’s unique and worthy to discover!
Let me guide you through this heritage, with carefully selected wines.
The focus here is to explore small producers that are very connected to their terroir and native grapes through different wines and wine styles.

Along the tasting I want to present you the main native grapes of the country and their styles/locations.
3 different white wines, 3 different red wines for a better understanding of the DNA of Portugal.

To make it taste even better, some bread, DOP olive oil, cheeses and dry cured ham will be presented to you.
I’m sure that after this “lesson” you’ll have a better understanding about Portuguese wines!

Serious introduction, yes. I loved the way Vasilii explained everything. High quality wines, limited editions, real winemakers and delicious snacks. Also, the ambience is so pleasant for such experiences. Oh! and the music in the background - very good taste! Cheers guys! You made my vacation in Porto

I've been on some food tours (including one in Porto), but this wine tasting is WAY more quality oriented. Yes, I know that on a food tour it's about the guide's work and the places and...but I prefer high quality, even if it's only about one place where everything happens. Learning about Portuguese wines from the 3rd best sommelier of Portugal for the value they charge - super affordable, believe me. Thanks again for the great experience and wine lesson!

Such a lovely experience! Ended up staying for almost 3 hours and chatting with others who came for tasting. The wine bar has great vibes and you feel so relaxed just being there. The wine for tasting are all great quality, but all reasonably priced (in case anyone likes them and wants to take home some). The owner of the wine bar is so friendly and welcoming, and did such an amazing job explaining each wine, where they came from and you can just tell he’s so passionate about bringing the best quality wine to everyone. The cheese platter was a very generous size and the cheese taste so good - such lovely pairing with the wines. I had the best time and really enjoyed this experience. Highly recommend this to anyone who’d love to try Portuguese wine!

We do find in US some Portuguese wines but the ones presented by Vasilii were astonishing. All of them were great examples of native grapes. Pure fruit notes, lovely character in each one and very nice presentation. I highly recommend it to everyone that wants to know more about Portuguese reds in the format of quality samples.
