Know before you book

  • Please note that the Similan Islands National Park is officially opened to the public from 15th October until 15th May.
  • Get picked up from your hotel in Khao Lak located near the main road. If you are staying on the hill or at a private villa or airbnb, you have to come to a nearby hotel. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking.
  • This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, infants under 4 years, people over 69 years or people with back or neck problems.
  • To be able to confirm the booking, it is very important that you send us a copy of the passport ID page for all travellers. We have to send this information to the Thai Marine Department before the trip starts. It will be handled strictly private and confidential. Please also bring a digital photo of
  • There is a minimum of 15 people required to run this activity! On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel this trip, we will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund.
  • The booking must be cancelled before 72 hours to get a full refund, otherwise no refund is possible.

What you can expect

Take a 1-day trip to the Similan Islands with the friendly crew of Wow Andaman and experience the ocean wonders and colourful marine life. The snorkel tour includes a light breakfast at Wow Andaman Pier in Khao Lak, a picnic lunch on Koh Similan and some snacks after the trip.

Get an early pickup service from the hotel in Khao Lak by air-conditioned minivan and get driven to the pier. After a warm welcome by the Wow Andaman team, enjoy a light breakfast with coffee and tea, and pick out your snorkelling gear. Your guide will give you safety instructions before cruising to Similan Islands in less than 90 minutes.

The first stop will be at Koh Miang (Island No. 4) where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the white sand contrasting the colour of the sea. If you are lucky, you can spot Nicobar flying foxes and Nicobar pigeons.

Head further to Koh Payu (Island No. 7) which offers stunning snorkelling spots rich in hard and soft corals. Spot colourful species of fish which are swimming among the coral reefs.

After a short cruise you will arrive at Ko Bangu (Island No. 9). It is the northern most island with one of the best snorkelling spots for varied fish life on it’s eastern side, a arch of reef called Breakfast Bend laden with sea fans, staghorns growths and coral outcrops.

Savour a delicious picnic lunch on a secluded, white-sand beach on Koh Similan (Island No. 8). It is the largest island with stunning views and hikes through jungle and over mountains. After lunch you can walk up to the Sailing Rock which is a huge rock formation on the upper part of the beach, where at the lookout point a massive rock is shaped like a ship’s sail.

Then head back to the pier in Khao Lak where you can enjoy a light meal before the driver will take you to the hotel in Phuket with lasting impressions and nice memories.

  • 10:10 - 10:50: Sightseeing at Koh Miang (Island No. 4)
