The Terracotta Army, located in Xi’an, China, is a massive collection of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots built over 2,000 years ago to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Among these remarkable artefacts are two intricately crafted bronze chariots, which showcase advanced ancient metalworking techniques. These chariots were used for imperial processions and symbolise the emperor’s power and prestige.

In HuaQing Palace. The Song of Everlasting Sorrow is a famous Chinese narrative poem written by the Tang dynasty poet Bai Juyi (白居易). It tells the tragic love storey between Emperor Xuanzong and his beloved consort Yang Guifei. Their romance was interrupted by political turmoil during the **An Lushan Rebellion**, leading to Yang Guifei’s forced death. The poem blends love and loss, portraying deep emotion and the fleeting nature of power and beauty. It is celebrated as one of the greatest works of classical Chinese literature.
