Travel from your Xi'an hotel by private vehicle with an English-speaking guide to the Chepaoyu valley in the Qinling Mountains. Follow a streamside path through woodland, then climb towards the Fayin and Dragon King temple area. The uphill section may take around two hours, depending on pace, so allow for sustained walking and wear suitable shoes. Continue towards Rentou Mountain's head-shaped rock and a viewpoint when weather and trail access permit. Mist or a sea of clouds may appear after rain, but visibility varies. Lunch is included; your guide will confirm the day's meal stop along the route. After time for the mountain views, descend and return by private vehicle to your Xi'an hotel. Bring drinking water and weather-appropriate clothing. The guide may adjust the walking route if weather, trail or road conditions require it.
