For Borobudur sunset, there are two different access options:

  1. Borobudur Sunset via Manohara (Special Access)
    This is an exclusive sunset experience with special access through Manohara. Guests are allowed to climb up Borobudur Temple until 6:00 PM, perfectly matching sunset time at around 5:30 PM.
    This option includes exclusive dinner, souvenir, and a more relaxed atmosphere at the temple.

  2. Borobudur Sunset Regular Access
    With regular access, guests climb up earlier at 3:30 PM and must leave the temple by 5:00 PM, before the actual sunset. This limits the sunset experience from the top.

That’s why we highly recommend the Manohara sunset access for a more comfortable and memorable visit.

The tour continues with the Mount Merapi Lava View Tour, visiting the volcanic area of Mount Merapi. Lava visibility depends on natural weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
