Following with pick-up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at midnight, then travel to Dieng Plateau. Hike to the top of Sikunir Hill, where on a clear day, you can see sunrise overlooking up to 8 volcanoes.

After sunrise, head to Batu Pandang Hill where you can see the ‘Colourful Lake’ from above. Next, visit Sikidang Crater, an open sulphur crater with angry bubbling mud and bellowing steam. It’s set among a bumpy and dusty landscape that will make you feel like you arrived on another planet. Not far from the crater, you will also visit the Arjuna Temple Complex which houses eight small Hindu temples that date back to the seventh century.

On the way back to Yogyakarta, complete your day with a visit to Borobudur Temple. Explore the single largest Buddhist structure on earth. Ascend the temple and be awestruck by the panoramic views from the top level.

Once you have finished your tour at Borobudur Temple, sit back and relax while your driver escorts you back to your accommodation in Yogyakarta.
