Yosemite Summit & Backpacking Adventure – 5-Day Guided Trip with Backcountry Skills

Yosemite is the perfect playground for hikers ready to build real-world backcountry skills—and stand atop two of the park’s most iconic summits while you’re at it.
This 5-day adventure is designed for folks who want to take their hiking to the next level with professional guidance and a true Yosemite immersion. You’ll learn backpacking skills, navigation, and camp systems, then put them into action as we hike through Yosemite’s high country to the summits of Clouds Rest and Half Dome.

Day one:
Meeting In the Valley at curry village we go through our packs and prepare for our trek. Catching the shuttle to our trailhead we make our way towards cathedral lakes and cathedral peak, one of the most popular climbs in Yosemite and a personal favourite. After enjoying the river side jaunt and the high meadows we make camp.
Day two:
Onward we go after a glories breakfast. We make our way to sunrise lakes for a dip and some laughs. Sunrise lakes also has a great spot to see some excellent geology in the form of batholiths, massive igneous domes of granite that form like onions!
Day three:
From camp we charge up to the summit of clouds rest (9934) along the spine of the mountain. at the top we enjoy the company of ravens and one of the best views in the park. after a lunch break we head down to sunrise creek camp. After All the excitement of clouds rest we prepare for our Half-dome.
Day four:
We rise nice and early to go summit Half-dome weather permitting. This incredible Batholith is ascended using “the Cables” a part of the climb that is about the length of a football field. From the top of the cables we enjoy a bit of pancakes and the light packs! After enjoying the view and a feeling of alpine bliss we make our way back to our camp.
Day five:
After a breakfast and possibly a quick dip in the Merced river, we Make our way down the Legendary mist trail past the beautiful Vernal Falls, and Nevada Falls into the valley to a celebratory pizza. This day Is nice because we see this trail at a time when it is less busy! Ill show you a few local gems before we return to our cars.
