What you can expect

  • Step aboard a comfortable, fully covered sightseeing boat and experience the Zaanse Schans from a unique perspective. During this 30-minute guided canal cruise, sail past the world-famous windmills and the beautiful historic landscape that has made this region one of the Netherlands' most iconic destinations.

As you cruise along the River Zaan, your skipper will share fascinating stories about the history of the windmills and how they helped shape the world's first industrial region. Once home to hundreds of working mills, the Zaan region played a vital role in producing timber, oil, paint, spices, and many other products that fuelled Dutch trade and innovation.

Relax aboard a boat accommodating up to 60 guests. Large panoramic windows provide excellent views in every season, making this cruise enjoyable in both sunshine and rain. On board, find a bar serving a selection of drinks, as well as bathroom facilities for your convenience.
