What you can expect

  • Day 1
    Hotel pickup - Ascend via the Bailong Lift - Explore the Yuanjiajie area (including Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, First Bridge under Heaven, and other highlights – 3-hour tour) - Golden Whip Brook hike (5km easy flat trail through cool, shaded forest along crystal-clear streams – 3.5-hour tour) - Tianmen Mountain (Enter before the 16:00 last admission) - Return transfer to hotel.

    Optional early start:
    The earliest entry slots for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park are 6:30–7:00 and 7:00–8:00. Starting early helps you beat the crowds and heat. For these slots, guests staying near Wulingyuan East Gate should depart 10 minutes earlier, while those in city centre Zhangjiajie need to depart about 40 minutes earlier.

    Day 2
    Hotel pickup (Around 9:00 AM departure, 2-hour drive) - Arrive at Mengdong River Visitor Centre (collect rafting equipment and store luggage, 30 mins) - Raft down the Mengdong River canyon (17km journey with exciting rapids and stunning waterfalls, 3-hour tour) - Shower, change, and lunch (lunch at own expense, 2 hours) - Transfer to Furong Ancient Town (20 mins) - Explore Furong Ancient Town (stroll along historic stone paths and enjoy the spectacular illuminated cliffside waterfalls in the evening, 3-hour tour) - Return transfer to hotel (2-hour drive).
