What you can expect

The privately owned, family-owned Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates animals that have been abused or victims of poaching. Visitors can tour the grounds and meet some of the rescued animals, such as pumas, Peruvian hairless dogs, alpacas and llamas, as well as the gigantic Andean condor.

The Ccochahusi Animal Sanctuary houses species of wildlife that are delivered by the Peruvian Government, coming from illicit trafficking for their care, conservation and preservation. It is our mission to educate the general population about the importance of caring for animals such as the Andean Condor, Vicuña among others that are catalogued as species in danger of Extinction.
