"We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. "Parking was full so had to leave on the road with lots of wedding bits inside. Hotel ok but tired. Room basic. No water or tea facility. Restaurant overpriced and under whelming. I had a local dish. Local Sausage and mash. Basic sausage and mash tasted like smash. Dried potatoes. Felt a bit money grabbing. "

The decor is a bit tired and dated, but it didn't detract from the quality of service. Highly recommend it."

"The whole experience from check in to final departure was excellent. The hotel had lots of modern touches throughout. The public areas were fresh and clean, the bedroom was roomy and an added bonus we weren't expecting was air conditioning (especially as we were there in the middle of a heat wave).
