It is located 10-12 minutes from downtown Elvas and is located all alone out in the countryside. Very quiet if you don’t mind chickens, donkeys and sheep but absolutely zero city noise. Parking is limited at hotel, although there is sufficient within walking distance. Steep slopes and steps to hotel itself, with no vehicle access, so you will need to carry your luggage some distance, although staff were happy to help. The hotel could also be more attractive to the travelling client if there was in room tea/coffee making facilities and an iron and board. It is all very good to have a beautiful building but today some basics are just as important."
