"We loved staying here. The location is perfect, right in the walkable middle of the medieval center of the city next to the college. Rooms were quaint, the food was good. Enjoyed the welcome glass of port when we arrived. My wife mentioned the showers were very hot and the water pressure was great. Enjoyed the stay very much. Only downside was parking, it was tricky to get close. They did indicate that in the welcome message ahead of check-in though. "

"Palace Sao Silvestre is an easy 10min drive from the heart of Coimbra and it was an oasis to return to. This hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. Beautiful pool to cool down in or relax sitting by, picnic next to a vineyard, breakfast in the dining room or out on the patio and bar/dining on site; food & service were great. Loved that it is surrounded by lovely grounds available for use to guests. "

"Beautiful old world apartment central to everything. Hotel was clean and modern and instructions were easy. Finding location at first was challenging as there is no car pull in or front desk. However once we arrived it was easy. The bed was a bit firm and walls very thin so heard the people above us. Gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and very safe. "

"The hotel is right on the river. With both beautiful room decks and a large deck for meals and peaceful sitting time. There is an outdoor pool as well as a spa that was enjoyable. Clean and comfortable (ask for robes if you don't see them in your room). Staff all around was friendly and helpful. Look forward to a return stay someday :)"

"The hotel room was dated. Floors need to be refurbished. The bed was not very comfortable. I liked that there were 2 bathrooms in the room. I liked the size of the balcony, however the balcony glass was not clear not sure if was becuz of ocean mist or just needed to be cleaned. There was a good ocean view. The shower in the bedroom wet the floor every time you showered. I was not impressed and actually disappointed for a four star hotel. "

"The staff went out of their way to make our stay amazing - our only regret was that we couldn’t stay another night! The restaurant served some of the best food we have ever eaten. The steak that my wife got was SO good that she asked to speak to the chef, just to tell him it was the best steak she had EVER had in her life! We NEVER do that!"

"The hotel is located really close to main attractions, little confusing how to get to the main entrance but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available. Room was clean and quiet. "

"We were here midweek during the off-season. Very quiet clean and spacious room with nice breakfast. About 5 minutes by car to the beach where you can get fresh fish and perfect sunset views. "
