4 Star Hotels in Kendal, England

"I have no idea how I can rate the hotel for "Eco-friendliness"? What a daft question that is. Anyway, check-in was quick and friendly. The room was quiet, stylish and clean. I felt very relaxed. I didn't eat in the restaurant and didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on either. I would stay here again. The one negative for me was the marketing garbage I got sent ahead of my stay. An email saying "we have carefully selected some optional extras specifically for you", which then offered...

"The hotel was very nice. They only problems were – like facilities for disabled people In-The spa changing rooms. I am disabled and there were no chairs in the changing rooms.. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in our Bathroom. This was reported and they tried to correct the problem but were unable to provide any hot water during our stay.. The position of the hotel was quite good, but a car was needed to go into Kendall. We absolutely loved Windermere. And we would go again, but next time...

"The Inn is welcoming. The car park is large. The staff are friendly. The room was comfortable and a nice size for 2 people and suitcases. The bathroom and room are clean. "

"A stopover on our way to Scotland - 4 or 5 miles from the M6. A warm welcome in the bar (and the beers) after battling the traffic on the M6 was just what I needed! We shared the fish platter which was great and finished off with a tasty pud. A good night’s sleep and an excellent cooked breakfast completed our night’s stay. All the staff were most helpful and friendly and the pub has lots of character. We shall call in again when travelling north!"

"Lovely lodge . Perfect for 3 of us for a couple of days . Friends mini break. Only slight problem was it was slightly too warm in the night and the heating ( if that was what it was) was loud when it kept coming on in the night. That is being picky though and it is a beautiful lodge. "

"Cannot recommend enough. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The whole place was spotless. The attention to detail was amazing from slippers and dressing gowns in the wardrobe to the cool down mat for straighteners (great for the ladies). Had the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. "

"Wow. This property is amazing! We needed somewhere to stop for one night en route to Scotland and we found a gem. The apartment is so spacious and well presented. It’s set in lovely grounds too. Also the communication at the time of booking and in the run up to our stay was excellent. Cannot rate this place highly enough. "
