"We booked this hotel as a treat. It is pricey so expectations were high and, unfortunately, they fell far short. On arrival, we were told there was no space at the restaurant for dinner, despite receiving an email the day before informing us they would reserve a table for us. Our “superior” double room was dark, pokey and dirty in places (stain on the headboard, cobwebs). "Major construction of a hotel close by. Noise 7a to 5p. Could not enjoy the beautiful view from the room due to the pounding and the banging. Place is very tired. 2.25 miles, 50 minute walk to city center. Host was very nice, outgoing. Would not recommend. "
