"Hilton’s Curio Collection, Hotel Montera located in Madrid was exceptional. The hotel’s ambience, amenities, and staff met every expectation. The slight inconvenience of walking to the taxi stop from the hotel’s entrance did not interfere with the overall experience, which included the best of hotel mattresses and elegant quiet rooms with extraordinary cuisine located on site. I highly recommend this property. "

"Initially we were in a standard room and it wasn’t even closed to a five stars hotel. Walls were dirty, curtains were ripped apart. We asked to be upgraded, and of course for a significant cost, the new room was outstanding! A completely different experience. Service was great all the time but definitely I would recommend the upgrade level. "

"Beautiful hotel!! We were so impressed by the staff, by how clean, beautiful, and inviting the space was. It was truly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Our room was clean, spacious, super comfortable. Shower was amazing!! Staff were super helpful. And the location was central to everything: always a 5-10 min walk to all major sites. We will definitely return here if we visit Madrid again."

Only drawback is that I would have preferred a hotel a bit more central Also it is a larger hotel and if calling for something difficult To get through to anyone.
